Love in the Peaks: A Romantic Adventure at Winnats Pass with Mam Tor as the Perfect Backdrop.
As a wedding photographer that’s come from a landscapes background, I am always on the lookout for stunning locations to capture love stories for couples doing pre wedding shoots. Recently, I had the opportunity to do a couples shoot at Winnats Pass in the Peak District, with the backdrop of the magnificent Mam Tor.
Winnats Pass is a breathtaking limestone gorge, located in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The towering cliffs on either side of the pass create a dramatic and awe-inspiring natural setting. Adding to the charm of the location is the winding road that passes through the gorge, making for an enchanting scene.
As I arrived at the location, I was excited to begin the shoot. The couple, Kiera and rob, were ecstatic to be in such a beautiful location. We began by exploring the area around the pass, taking in the stunning views and finding perfect spots for photographs.
As we made our way to the top of the pass, we were greeted with the most breathtaking view of Mam Tor, combined with the vastness of the surrounding hills, made for a truly unforgettable backdrop. The couple stood in awe of the beauty before them, and I couldn't wait to start taking photos.
We kicked off the shoot with some natural poses, capturing Kiera and Rob's intimacy and love. And with the soft light of the evening sun, the shoot was already feeling like something out of a romance novel.
And as the shoot went on Kiera and Rob got more comfortable infant of the camera, so we decided to switch things up and get a little silly. Hehe Cue the piggyback rides and jumping shots. I'm pretty sure they could have been mistaken for a couple of kangaroos.
As the sun began to set, we got even more creative, playing with light and shadows to create some dramatic effects.
It was a blast working with Kiera and Rob, and I'm thrilled with how the photos turned out. And let's be real, who doesn't love a good jumping shot or piggyback ride? Even if those photos are a tad silly It's a great way to add a little fun to your shoot and see those personalties.
Throughout the shoot, the couple's love for each other shone through, and it was a privilege to capture their love story in such a stunning location. Winnats Pass and Mam Tor provided the perfect backdrop for the shoot, and I was thrilled with the final results.
